Code Librarians
Code librarians provide an easy means of storing snippets of
source code. Code librarians range from simple text databases to applications
with a very wide range of programmer tools.
Recommendation
The details of my review process, showing the features and point assignment
used to assess the available code librarians. Feel free to look at some of
the higher rated products to see if they meet your needs.
However, based on analysis below, my freeware gbCodeLib is on par with the
best of the commerical librarians so it gets my recommendation for a
code librarian. Here's a short description:
- gbCodeLib
gbCodeLib is a freeware code librarian with the ability to store code snippets
from multiple languages. It comes with a built-in syntax editor, has over 1000
snippets from 15 languages, can export code to web page format, binary file storage,
and also provides revision control features.

offers the feature it gets the indidcated points (2 points = 1 star).
