Menu Options
gbTimer has a single menu, accessed by right mouse clicking the display. Menu selections include:
- Show Settings
Slightly expands the gbTimer main screen size to show the textboxes in which the
alarm and application file names may be entered.
- Show File Names
Opens a dialog window that displays the alarm and application file names. This is useful
because the textbox in which the names are entered is limited in width to the size of the
timer window. Using this dialog window lets you see the entire pathname of the files.
- Schedule Application
Enables the start of the chosen application when the countdown is complete
- Set Seconds
Toggles the scroll bar to move up/down in second or minute intervals
- Test Sound Now
Plays the alarm sound file one time
- Run Application Now
For test purposes, starts the selected application
- Continuous Alarm
Causes gbTimer to play the alarm sound file continuously once the countdown is
completed - until the user presses the 'Off' button
- Silent Alarm
Replaces the audible alarm with a simple popup message box
- Mimimize on Start
Causes gbTimer to minimize after 'Start' is pressed. The timer value continues to be
shown in the gbTimer icon in the task bar
- Minimize Now
Because the gbTimer window is kept simple - including no mimimize/maximize buttons,
this option is provided to manually minimize gbTimer
- Center Form
Places the gbTimer main screen in the center of the screen
- Delete Registry Settings
Removes all registry settings so that gbTimer starts the next time with default values.
- Web Site
Opens the default browser at Gary Beene's Freeware Information Center
- Online Help
Opens the default browser at the gbTimer Online Help page.
- Online Updates
Opens a dialog window from which the latest version of gbTimer can be downloaded.
- About
Shows the revision level of the installed version of gbTimer
