gbCodeLib - Fonts
gbCodeLib provides a menu option to select the font name/size/bold/italic properties. The font name/size are applied to the source code editor under all circumstances.

However, the bold/italic characteristics of the display are normally defined by the snippet's language definition file. The language definition file may be overridden using the menu Options > Font > Override Language File.

Note that several of the code snippets distributed with gbCodeLib have tabular data. Switching to a non-fixed pitch font will may cause the tables to lose visual alignment.

Two other methods of modifying the source code editor font name or size are supported:

  • Toolbar Quick Cycle
As a faster way of changing the font (name and size) the Quick Cycle toolbar button can be used. It cycles through 4 point size of the Courier New font, followed by four sizes of the Time New Roman. Note: some snippets distributed with gbCodeLib contain tabular data which may not appear visually aligned when non-fixed fonts such as Times New Roman are used. However, many users find that Times New Roman is more visually appealing.

  • Wheel Mouse
The font size for the source code editor can be changed by pressing the Ctrl button while moving the mouse wheel. The changes to the font last for the current session only.
