Type in HTML at Amazon.com and you'll get over 25,000 hits. That's a lot of HTML information. Fortunately you'll only have to read a couple of books to pick up on most of the HTML information you'll need to create you own web pages.

You can actually learn HTML using freely available web sites, such as this one. However, books have several great advantages. They are portable, they are usually more detailed than most web sites, and they have gone through significant peer review which should make them more accurate, as well as more grammatically correct, than most web pages.

Here are my recommendations:
