Forums
I love forums! But do I participate daily? No way. What typically happens is that I am working on a project and have a question about some aspect of programming. I jump out to my favorite forum sites and see if there's any information on the topic. If not, I post a question and then watch for a response.

Background
If you're not familiar with forums, they work like this. A web site provides an online location where you can type in a question or a comment. Then one or more people can type in a series of responses. The entire chain of messages on a particular topic is called a thread, and is available online for viewing and further response.

Forums are like online chat, except they are not real time. The time between user inputs can be seconds, minutes, hours, or even days. It all happens at the users' pace. Also, multiple users can enter the thread.

Recommendations
Here are my suggestions on sites with Perl-specific forums, although most also provide forums on other topics.

If you have suggestions for forums to add to this list, please let me know.
