Magazines - Programming
While books are great ways to learn, their long development cycle means that their content is dated the day the book hits the street. Nor can books be easily, or frequently, updated.

Fortunately, programmers who want the latest information have several avenues available to them - magazines, newsletters, conferences, blogs and webcasts - each with varying degrees of "freshness" of the information provided (perhaps 1-3 months with magazines and webcasts or only days with newsletters and blogs).

On this page I provide a summary of the magazines that a Perl programmer might find interesting, categorized as to the information covered. I also highlight "online magazines", where the content is updated/archived on a monthly basis.

Programming Magazines
Code, analysis of code, programmer opinions, conflicting opinions, pros and cons of languages, how to write code, how not to write code, ... - these are the guts of programming, and what you will find in these magazines.

If you have any suggestions on newsletters to add to this list, please let me know.
