User Groups
If you're a beginner programmer or a solo programmer working on your own, the
you will appreciate the benefits of having a group of programmers to turn
to for discussion.
Most language user groups are formed by like-minded programmers, wanting to
band together to get the benefit from each other's experience. They welcome
experienced and beginner programmers alike.
Note that there are far more computer user groups, where the focus is on the
PC and its software. This page addresses only language-focused user groups. In
some cases, however, a computer user group may support several smaller "special
interest groups", or SIGS. I've included those where I've been able to identify
them.
Perl User Groups
With few exceptions most Perl User Groups belong to Perl Mongers,
a loose association of international Perl User Groups. ActiveState
also keeps a list of Perl User Groups.
I suggest starting with the Perl Mongers site to see if a group meets in your area.
If you have suggestions for Perl user groups to add to this list, please let me know.
