Newsgroups (USENET)
The Usenet (USEr NETwork) is a decentralized message system consisting of
over 30,000 discussion groups (called NewsGroups) covering a very wide range of
topics, such as computers, humor, science, history, politics, and yes, even sex.
In addition to text, Usenet groups also support download of binary files
(images, videos, sound, etc.).
The value of Usenet discussion groups cannot be overstated! I use them all
the time to research technical problems I'm having, plus I answer questions
in the newsgroups to give back as much as I take!
Using Newsgroups
For those of you who are not familiar with Newgroups, I've prepared the
following tutorial pages to bring you up to speed.
PowerBASIC Newsgroups
The good news is that there are two Newsgroups specific to PowerBASIC. The bad news
is that the message volume is fairly low. You'll want to visit these Newsgroups but
you won't have to check back very often to stay abreast of any new message traffic.
Other Useful Newsgroups
While not specific to PowerBASIC, these other newsgroups provide content useful
to PowerBASIC programmers.
I welcome recommendations for additions to this page.
