Cavatine (from Aunt Betty)
1 pound ground chuck or ground round
3 oz package sliced pepperoni
1/2 green pepper, diced (optional)
1 small onion, diced
1 cup diced mushrooms (optional)
32 oz jar Ragu Spagetti Sauce
8 oz. cooked macaroni
8 oz. grated mozzerella cheese
Brown ground meat with diced onion and green pepper. Drain.
While meat is cooking cook macaroni according to package directions.
Combine ground meat, pepperoni, green pepper, onion, mushrooms, Ragu sauce
and cooked macaroni in large bowl. Stir well. Place in casserole dish.
Top with cheese. Bake 350º for 30 or more minutes or until heated through.
Can be microwaved. Serve with rolls and salad.
You can also freeze this casserole. Thaw before cooking.
